I am a maker. I make things. I go on tangents until I get bored. Now I am on making crocheted Barbie clothes and 6 inch doll clothes and Sad Eye Susie clothes
This is another page I am making for my illustrated version of family history. It is about the Bomba, Pinkava, Bednorz families imigrating to Panna Maria TX in 1854.
It reads: Bob Donaldson of Radiators R Us, 815 S. 21st, was finishing a radiator core rebuild for a customer in Iola Tuesday. The radiator weighs more than 900 pounds and measures 45 inches wide by 50 inches tall. The copper-brass core is 3 inches thick and holds 25 gallons of antifreeze. Donaldson said it takes about 15 hours to rebuild a project of this size. Nelson Quarries is using the radiator for a diesel generator.
Here it is parked out back of his shop next to his old work truck.
Can you believe the Kansas City Chiefs drove all the way to Parsons KS just to get their radiator fixed? It was still cheaper than buying a new one and apparently Bobs fame has been traveling far and wide!
I met Bob. He lives in Kansas, a 3 hour trip each weekend. He has his own business, of which he wears several hats. I made a sign to post in Chicks Diner in Parsons KS for his radiator business, "Radiators R us."
